Abstract
A design scheme of induction-dynamic catapult of laser ballistic gravimeter containing the static inductor and electro conductive armature moving together with the test object along the vertical axis is suggested. The catapult allows to improve the gravimeter accuracy by direct conversion of electrical energy into kinetic. Its electronic circuit provides two successive pulses of current in the inductor for armature tossing and braking during operating cycle.

Abstract
Results of absolute gravity measurements on seven sites of Northern Caucasus region, which form a reference network for control of vertical movements of the region by a gravimetric method, are presented. To spread this network to other parts of the region without carrying out expensive absolute measurements, the technique based on measurement of the gravity increment between the new and reference sites by the high-precision relative gravity meter is developed. Two-years observations showed availability of this technique, nevertheless, for reliable determination of the site vertical movements, the observations on longer time interval are necessary.

Abstract
The problem of estimating the metrological reliability of measuring instruments at incomplete data presented by small samples of metrological resource values is considered. An approach to metrological reliability assessment based on the method of moments is suggested. The analytical expression and example of metrological reliability estimation are presented.

Abstract
The errors of approximation of serial BPF type light filters spectral characteristics by different type functions such as Gaussian, rational, etc. are calculated. The least error is obtained at approximation by small (1 – 3) orders splines built on sampling taken from light filter table data.

Abstract
The method for study of phase-heterogeneous metal-oxide surface layers by means of fiber optics spectrometers is presented. The metal reflection coefficients for different wavelenghts are processed by modified to reflectometry optical spectrotomography algorithms. This modification allows to control the thickness and chemical composition of heterogeneous surface layers. An example of calculation of parameters of oxide films on the surface of Fe–18Cr processed at furnace and electrocontact heating is given.
