Abstract

The various Russian and foreign definitions of smart (intellectual) sensor, its structure and functions are discussed. Implementation of metrological self-checking function in bridge-based sensors is given along with an example of adaptive strain gauge pressure sensor based on nano- and microelectromechanical system.
