Abstract
A dielectric moisture meter is described in which a moisture content of a studied material is measured in the radio frequency range by the angle of a phase shift between changes of the total conductivity of an instrument capacitor of a sensor and its reactive component. These changes are caused as a result of placing a measured material sample inside the capacitor volume. It is shown that such moisture meter is not sensitive to a mass of the material sample, but is rather sensitive to its moisture content. It is simpler in a design than the known mass-insensitive moisture meters and can surpass them in accuracy of measurements because of reducing a number of measuring operations.
