The method for determining the charge collection time and the mean charge in the pulse of the ionization fission chamber

Abstract

The article presents a method for determining the charge collection time of the ionization fission chamber with flat electrodes. Determining the value of the charge and the time of its collection is carried out by the parameters of the electric signal registered at the output of the measuring system. The authors use the model of the detector current pulse formation and the mathematical model of the measuring circuit. The method of determining the mean charge per pulse and the collection time was tested in experiments with ionization fission chambers of type KNT-34. The variants of practical application of the proposed method are considered.
