<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>A short survey of theoretical models explaining the variability of fine structure constant α in space and time is presented. A model construction method where variations of α and of other FPCs (including the gravitational constant G ) follow from the dynamics of extra space-time measurements within the framework of curvature-nonlinear multidimensional theory of gravitation. An explicit example of the model explaining the observable α space and time variations has been created.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>фундаментальные физические константы</kwd><kwd>пространственные вариации</kwd><kwd>космология</kwd><kwd>многомерная гравитация</kwd><kwd>fundamental physical constants</kwd><kwd>space variations</kwd><kwd>cosmology</kwd><kwd>multidimensional gravitation</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Кононогов С.А., Мельников В.Н.
